Who can drive with KINTO?

21 years old and above with a valid driving license.

Can P-plate rent a car from KINTO?

Yes, P-plate is allowed.

Can I rent a car with a foreign license?

Yes, for foreigners residing in Singapore for less than 12 months, you must provide your original foreign issued driving license to be eligible to rent a car with KINTO.

I am a Work Permit holder, can I rent a car from KINTO Share?

Yes, for work permit holder who first entry to Singapore, you are allowed to drive with KINTO with your foreign driving license for 6 months. To continue driving with KINTO Share after the first 6 months, you are required to convert your foreign driving license to a valid Singapore issued driving license.

I am a EP/SP holder, can I rent a car from KINTO Share?

Yes, for EP/SP holder who first entry to Singapore, you are allowed to drive with KINTO with your foreign driving license for 12 months. To continue driving with KINTO Share after the first 12 months, you are required to convert your foreign driving license to a valid Singapore issued driving license.

What time can I pick up the car?

Do I need to return the car to the same pick up point?

No. We provide point A to point A, point A to point B services. E.g. you can pick up the car from KINTO One Center and return to SAFRA Yishun.

Do you offer delivery service?

Yes. We offered delivery service charge at $50 per trip and $70 for two-way.

Why can't I choose a specific vehicle model during the booking process?

We strive to provide you with a hassle-free experience. Our system assigns vehicles based on factors like availability, demand, and maintenance schedules. By selecting a model tier instead of a specific model, we can ensure a broader range of cars available for your use, all maintained in top condition for your safety and satisfaction.

What is the minimum rental period?

1 day

Do you offer long-term leasing like monthly or yearly?

Yes, you can find the details at KINTO One website: https://one.kinto-sg.com/

How does the rental calculated?

24 hours basis. For example, collection at 10am, return the next day 10am.

Must be a KINTO member to book a car?

No, you do not need to be a member to book a car. However, upon saving a deposit with KINTO after completing the first booking, you will automatically become a member with perks and many benefits.

How long in advance do I need to make a booking?

1 working day. Any urgent booking can be made 3 hours in advance that might incur additional cost.

Can I extend the contract if has changed of plan?

Yes, you can. Simply contact us via WhatsApp to confirm the renewal period.

Can I extend the rental by hourly?

Yes, extension for every hour charge at 10% of daily rental rate + CDW.

Can I choose a specific car model?

Car makes and models are categorised into different tiers such as Economy, Economy Plus, Premium, and Luxury. Cars of the same tier are fixed price and are subject to availability. However, if you would like to select the colour and car model, an additional 20% charge will be incurred to the listed price.

Can allow a 2nd driver?

Yes, 2nd driver is allowed as long as he/she is 21 years old and above with a valid driving license.

What are the charges to include a 2nd driver?

No additional charges to include a 2nd driver, please inform our agent to include the 2nd driver in the contract.

When do I need to pay the rental?

Rental will be collected upon confirmation.

How to know my deal is confirmed?

A booking will be confirmed when the contract is signed and the rental is paid.

Is deposit required?

Yes.

What is the deposit amount?

$300 for the Economy & Economy Plus Tier, $500 for the Premium Tier, $800 for the Luxury Tier.

When do I need to pay the deposit?

Deposit will be collected upon car collection.

How to pay the deposit?

Deposit can be paid in cash, bank transfer, or by credit card fund holding.

How long does the deposit takes to be refunded to me?

Cash/bank transfer deposit will be refunded to the hirer within 7 – 14 working days; Credit Card deposit will be auto released after 7 days after the car is returned. Any outstanding payments due to traffic violations, rental extensions, differences in fuel level, and damages to the vehicles will be deducted from the security deposit before the refund is issued.

Can I pay the deposit with Credit Card?

Can the car be traveled to Malaysia?

Yes, all Kinto cars have applied for a valid Malaysia VEP (Vehicle Entry Permit).

Can P-plate drive the car to Malaysia?

No additional charges.

Can I rent a car with a foreign license?

Yes, but KINTO reserves the right to reject P-plate to travel to Malaysia.

Can I buy CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) to lower the excess?

Yes, CDW charges $15/day (Inclusive of GST)

Can drivers below 21 years old drive with KINTO?

Driver that below 21 years old must have at least 1 year driving experience, else reject.

What if the car accident in Singapore/Malaysia?

Please do not move the car and immediately unplug the dash camera. Do not remove the SD card from the dash camera. Call the 24/7 hotline (97321685), number printed on the decal which pasted on the windscreen. The road assistance team will assist you. Only use a landline to make the phone call.

What if the car breaks down in Singapore/Malaysia?

Call the 24/7 hotline (97321685), number printed on the decal which pasted on the windscreen. The road assistance team will assist you. Only use a landline to make the phone call. If the car is in Malaysia, KINTO will proceed to tow the car back to Singapore and make necessary arrangement with the customer.

What if the car get stolen?

Please call the 24/7 customer hotline (97321685) and make a report to KINTO immediately.

If I have a minor accident, can I privately settle with a third party without informing KINTO?

All accidents must be reported to KINTO and the expert will give you the best solution to settle the case. If you didn’t report to KINTO and there is a case claim against us during you rental period, we might proceed to repudiate the case and redirect the case to you.

Replacement car will be given?

Yes, replacement car will be given in Singapore during working hours. No replacement car will be given if customer is in Malaysia. 

What are the Amendments, Cancellation & Refund policies?

You may amend or cancel the booking at any time prior to the commencement of the booking.
If the amendments or cancellation falls within the following period, you will be charged the full or part of the rental based on the following:

Any change in date will be subject to availability and if the dates are taken it will be deem that you have to cancel the booking.
Any cancellation penalty will be based on the terms below:

For a booking cancellation, the Hirer may exercise an option (One-time only) to carry forward the Rental Fee to the next booking within 30 days. The next booked rental period MUST be within 90 Days from the date of booking and any difference in prices or deposit requirement shall be topped up by the Hirer. Should the new booking be cancelled, 100% of the Rental Fee and any paid fees shall be forfeited with no refund.

What is KINTO Share’s Fuel Return Policy?

The Hirer is expected to return with the same level of fuel. Any level less than the given level will be charge at $5 per litre. The Vehicle must pump with 95 or 98 RON Fuel.
